MATERIAL REQUIRED:
Colored craft paper (various bright colors)
Pencil
Scissors
Glue stick or craft glue
Googly eyes (optional)
Pipe cleaners (for antennae)
Markers, crayons, or glitter (for decorating)
TIME:
20-25 minutes
STEPS:
Place your hand on a piece of colored paper.
Use a pencil to trace around your fingers and palm.
Repeat this step on another colored paper (so you have two handprints).
Carefully cut out both handprint shapes using scissors. These will form the butterfly wings.
Cut an oval or elongated shape from another piece of paper for the butterfly's body.
Decorate it with markers, stickers, or glitter.
Glue the handprint cutouts behind the body so that the fingers face outward like wings.
Attach two small googly eyes or draw eyes on the butterfly’s face.
Twist a small piece of pipe cleaner into a "V" shape and glue it behind the head for antennae.
Use markers, stickers, glitter, or any other materials to add patterns to the butterfly wings.
