ART & CRAFT

MATERIAL REQUIRED:

  • Colored craft paper (various bright colors)

  • Pencil

  • Scissors

  • Glue stick or craft glue

  • Googly eyes (optional)

  • Pipe cleaners (for antennae)

  • Markers, crayons, or glitter (for decorating)

TIME:

20-25 minutes

STEPS:

: Trace the Handprints

  • Place your hand on a piece of colored paper.

  • Use a pencil to trace around your fingers and palm.

  • Repeat this step on another colored paper (so you have two handprints).

2: Cut Out the Handprints

  • Carefully cut out both handprint shapes using scissors. These will form the butterfly wings.

3: Make the Butterfly’s Body

  • Cut an oval or elongated shape from another piece of paper for the butterfly's body.

  • Decorate it with markers, stickers, or glitter.

4: Assemble the Butterfly

  • Glue the handprint cutouts behind the body so that the fingers face outward like wings.

  • Attach two small googly eyes or draw eyes on the butterfly’s face.

  • Twist a small piece of pipe cleaner into a "V" shape and glue it behind the head for antennae.

5: Add Decorations

  • Use markers, stickers, glitter, or any other materials to add patterns to the butterfly wings.
