Basic Parts of a Plant: 1️⃣ Roots 🌱
Roots are the part of the plant that grows underground.
They hold the plant in the soil so it doesn’t fall over.
They drink water and nutrients from the soil to keep the plant strong.
Example: Carrots and radishes are roots that we can eat!
2️⃣ Stem 🌿
The stem is the strong part that holds the plant up.
It carries water and food from the roots to the leaves and flowers.
Some plants have thick stems (like tree trunks), and some have thin stems (like flowers).
Example: Sugarcane is a stem that we can eat!
3️⃣ Leaves 🍃
Leaves are green and flat and grow from the stem.
They make food for the plant using sunlight, air, and water. 🌞🌧
Leaves also help the plant breathe!
Example: Spinach and lettuce are leaves that we can eat!
4️⃣ Flowers 🌸🌻
Flowers are the most colorful part of the plant.
They help the plant make seeds so new plants can grow.
Some flowers turn into fruits after some time!
Example: Sunflowers, roses, and tulips are flowers!
5️⃣ Fruits & Seeds 🍎🌰
Fruits protect the seeds inside them.
Seeds grow into new plants when we plant them in the soil.
Example: Apples, oranges, and mangoes have seeds inside!
